Conference Championship Week Heating Up: Last CFP Spot on the Line

Conference Championship Week is heating up as the last spot for the CFP is on the line and College Football Fans will be tuning in for all the games from Friday to Saturday. The Power 5 Championship Games are the games everyone will be watching with the most interesting conference being the Pac 12 who has 6 teams in the CFP top 20. The Games are going to be incredible and will decide who will get in and who'll play in the New Years Six Bowls.

AAC: WHICH GROUP OF 5 TEAM WILL MAKE A NY6 BOWL:

#22 UCF @ #18 Tulane

OUR PICK: TULANE WINS 34-31

Tulane and UCF both have solid offenses that score 30+ points per game, but Tulane's defense is really good, on average holding teams to under 20 points while UCF allows 25+ per game. When UCF played Tulane earlier this year, they won 38-31 in NOLA with QB John Rhys Plumlee running all over the Green Wave defense. The Green Wave turned the ball over twice though and UCF didn't have a single turnover. Tulane's QB Michael Pratt had a great game passing for over 230 yards and 3 TDs. Since then, Tulane had a fumble in their monster win over SMU, but didn't have a fumble in their last game against Cincinnati. I think the Green Wave will pull it together and secure a win over the Golden Knights in New Orleans, 34-31.

ACC: CAN CLEMSON SECURE A SPOT IN A NY6 BOWL AFTER A LOSS TO S. CAROLINA: #9 CLEMSON V. #23 NORTH CAROLINA

OUR PICK: CLEMSON WINS 41-24

Clemson is coming off a dissapointing loss against rival South Carolina, but North Carolina has had some embarrassing losses to Georgia Tech and Notre Dame while having one of the best players in College Football, Drake Maye. Maye has had a great season, but the UNC defense has allowed 30+ points in 5 games and only 1 opponent was ranked. Clemson's defense has been better than the Tar Heels this year and have a great offense so I think Clemson will dominate on the defensive side of the ball and win 41-24.

BIG 12: CAN TCU SECURE THEIR FIRST EVER CFP TICKET:

#3 TCU v. #10 KANSAS STATE

OUR PICK: TCU WINS 44-35

TCU already faced and beat K-State 38-28 during the season, holding Deuce Vaughn to 83 yards on the ground. TCU has a solid offense with Max Duggan under center at a QB and Kendre Miller in the backfield at RB. TCU has also had a solid defense and I believe will ultimately win 44-35.

BIG TEN: CAN PURDUE DISRUPT THE TOP 4:

#2 MICHIGAN v. PURDUE

OUR PICK: MICHIGAN WINS 48-21

Michigan is all around the better team, but Purdue has a solid offense snd maybe, if it was in Indiana, maybe the Boilermakers would have a shot. Michigan has QB JJ McCarthy and Heisman hopeful Blake Corum which makes their backfield elite and their defense is also fantastic which should lead to a massive Wolverine win.

C-USA: CAN UTSA MAKE A NY6 BOWL WITH A MASSIVE WIN

UTSA v. NORTH TEXAS

OUR PICK: UTSA WINS 42-21

UTSA has a great defense and has swept the C-USA and now faces UNT. While UNT has a good offense, their defense allows 30+ points per game and the game should be easy work for UTSA who's offense is high scoring lead by QB Fred Harris who has passed for 27 TDs this year. UTSA wins

42-21.

MAC: CAN OHIO GET INTO THE TOP 25 WITH A WIN?

OHIO v. TOLEDO

OUR PICK: TOLEDO WINS 30-28

Ohio has lost QB Kurtis Rourke who lead them in passing with 3200 yards and 25 TDs and the Ohio pass game has not been the same. Ohio's defense is also mediocre, allowing 30 points per game. Toledo's offense is pretty good and high scoring which shoukd help them beat the Bobcats. Toledo wins 30-28.

MOUNTAIN WEST: CAN BOISE STATE MAKE IT BACK INTO THE TOP 25 WITH A WIN?

FRESNO STATE @ BOISE STATE

OUR PICK: BOISE STATE WINS 24-21

Boise State is one of the best defenses in the conference allowing less than 18 points per game while Fresno's is second, allowing 20 points. Adding on another advantage, Boise State is at home at a way higher altitude than Fresno so they'll have more fans and know how to play at that altitude. Fresno might have a better offense but the game will be decided by defense. Fresno will fight well, but Boise will win a close game.

PAC 12: CAN USC MAKE THEIR FIRST EVER CFP?

#4 USC v. #11 UTAH

OUR PICK: USC WINS 45-38

USC might have lost to the Utes earlier in the season, but the game is not in Salt Lake City, in front of an incredible Utah crowd and is not at a 4,000 ft altitude, but at a 2,000 ft altitude. The stadium in Vegas will be filled with fans from both sides this time which will make USC feel more at home. SC has shown they are one of the best offenses in the nation behind Heisman favorite Caleb Williams, but Utah has another fantastic offense. USC's defense is not as good as Utah's but both looked bad when they faced each other in a shootout 1 point win for Utah. Since then USC has been prepared for this rematch and after seeing their game against Notre Dame, I believe it will be a great game between 2 great teams but USC looks too good to be counted out. Watch out for the Trojans, especially in the 4th Quarter.

SEC: CAN LSU SPOIL THE DAWGS FUN IN THEIR BACKYARD?

#1 GEORGIA v. #14 LSU

OUR PICK: GEORGIA WINS 49-24

Georgia is a CFB juggernaut but the National Champs have shown they are not untouchable, especially in their game against Missouri where they won 26-22 after a close game. Georgia has a fantastic defense, one of the best in the nation, and their offense is elite which makes them extremely hard to beat. LSU's offense and defense are great, but they aren't as good as UGA which makes it hard to see them beating the Dawgs.

SUN BELT: CAN COASTAL RETURN TO THE GLORY DAYS

COASTAL CAROLINA V TROY

OUR PICK: TROY WINS 31-14

Troy is a low scoring offense but has a great defense and has an advantage with star CCU QB Grayson McCall out for the game and without him, the Chanticleers have not been able to operate. This should allow for an easy Trojan win.
