My predictions were almost correct. It was an intresing night. NASCAR likes to try out new rule ideas at the All Star Race. They added the choose rule. It is the rule that all drivers can pick where they start and restart. They have a cone on the track. If you go right, you go low, and if you left, you go high. They also put lights under the cars.
The All Star Open went 85 laps without many cautions. Bubba Wallace won the Fan Vote, but was turned early in the Open by Michael Mcdowell, so he couldn't race in the All Star Race. Clint Bowyer ended up winning the fan vote. Aric Almirola won Stage 1. Ryan Preece and John Hunter Nemecheck crashed but stayed in the race. William Byron led the whole stage. He won the stage. Stage 3 was 15 laps, and Matt DiBenedetto won the stage.
All Star Race:
Martin Truex Jr. started on the pole. He along with Justin Haley dropped 10 positions by the end of the race. Kurt Busch dropped 13 positions and finished last in the race. Ryan Blaney won stage 1. Erik Jones jumped 11 positions by the end of Stage 1. Kevin Harvick led on and off, but never won a stage or the race. Nobody crashed out of the race. Chase Elliott took Stage 2 and Stage 3. Kyle Busch jumped up and just missed the "cigar". He finished 2nd while Chase Elliott won the NASCAR All Star Race, joining his father as a NASCAR All Star Race winner.
Finishing 10:
