Tiger Woods approached the 12th hole with a 2 over on the day and a 3 under in the tournament. Hole 12 is a 155 yard par 3 that angles down into a water hazard. It is super hard. This hole kept him in the lead and probably aided his win at the 2019 Masters. He was 1 under at the hole in the 2020 Masters. He had parred the 11th hole. He came into the hole with high hopes. His 1st shot was in the water. His 2nd shot (3rd because of penalty) was about 50-75 yards from the pin. He hit it on to the green but it turned for the worst and headed into the water. He hit his 5th shot (because of the penalty) into the back bunker to avoid the water. He shot out of the bunker was hit too hard and went into… you guessed it, the water! His 8th shot (because of the penalty) was hit again out of the bunker and went onto the fringe of the green where he putted it close to the hole and knocked it in for a 10! It was the worst hole in Tiger’s Masters history. It put him at 4 over on the tournament and 9 over on the day. Tiger bounced back with a birdie on 13, a par on 14, and yet again a birdie on 15,16,17, and 18, putting him at 4 over on the day. What a comeback! It put him at 1 under and a 285 (286 par) at the tourney to close out the Masters for Tiger.
