NN Baseball Tourney ends in canceled game

It was an intresting tournament, and it kicked off Wednesday. It was between Hugo, Isla, and Nonno. The games had 3 innings, and the player on defense only had to get one out. There was a 5 run rule which means you are only allowed to score 5 runs per inning. To shorten the games, extra innings went through 6 innings, and if it is still tied, the captains did rock, paper, scissors. To help with this players got a runner on 1st to start the inning in extras. It was a double elimination tournament. The first game was between Isla and Hugo. The winner would play Nonno, and the loser would face the loser of the loser of the Nonno game in an elimination game. The winner of the elimination game would play in the championship against the winner of the second game.

Hugo defeated Isla 3-2 in the first game. He hit a 3 run homer after Isla walked 2 batters. Hugo faced Nonno in the second game. He was beaten 4-3 when Nonno hit a walk off double with the bases loaded. Isla forfeited the elimination game to join Team Nonno. Hugo won the first game of the championship on a walk off homer in the bottom of the 4th, 4-1. Hugo was playing Nonno in the top of the 3rd inning when Hugo hit a homer to make it 6-3 after both teams scored 3 runs in the 2nd inning. They could not find the ball, and there were no other tennis balls around so the game was canceled. Hugo was designated the winner due to him leading before and after the ball was lost.
