LeBron James captured his 4th NBA Finals win and NBA Finals MVP with their win over the Miami Heat. The Heat fell to the Lakers in 6 games. The Heat were the underdog that couldn’t be stopped throughout the playoffs. The Lakers were able to stop the young team in the Finals. Both teams had been to the NBA Finals and won in the past 10 years. In 2010, the Lakers beat out the Boston Celtics to capture the Finals with Kobe Bryant getting the Finals MVP. In 2012 and 2013, the Heat went to the Finals and won with LeBron James as the Finals MVP in both years.
LeBron James has been a big part of both organizations. He helped the Heat get to 4 consecutive NBA Finals, and win 2 Finals. He was helped by the 2 other members of the Big 3, Dewayne Wade and Chris Bosh. Their 2 Finals wins came in 2012 against the Oklahoma City Thunder and in 2013 against the San Antonio Spurs. Their two loses came in 2011 against the Dallas Mavericks and in 2014 against the San Antonio Spurs. LeBron came in from Caviliers and left for the Caviliers. LeBron took the Cavs to the Finals in 2007, but lost to the Spurs. LeBron was drafted in 2003 by the Cleveland Cavaliers out of high school and won rookie of the year. He left the Cavs in 2010 for the Heat. He went to 4 consecutive Finals, won 2 NBA Championships and won 2 NBA Finals MVPs. He then left to go back to the Cavs in 2015. He went to 4 consecutive NBA Finals with the Cavs, but only brought 1 championship home along with a Finals MVP. He left for the Lakers in 2019. He has provided the Lakers with a championship along with a Finals MVP. LeBron's decorated career has given him 4 championships, 4 Finals MVPs, 4 MVPs, and 3 All Star Game MVPs. He is a 16 time All Star, a 16 time All-NBA team member, and a 6 time All-Defensive team member.
The Lakers captured their 17th NBA Championship with their win Sunday. The team agreed that they had done it for Kobe Bryant who passed away in a helicopter accident in January. Kobe who spent his whole career with the Lakers was a 5 time NBA champ, 18 time all star, 2 time NBA Finals MVP, 4 time All Star Game MVP, 15 time all NBA team member, 12 time all-defensive team, 2 time scoring champ, and 1 time NBA MVP. He is a part of the 2020 NBA Hall of Fame class along with enemies on the court, but friends off the court, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett.
