Marlon Moraes took on Raphael Assuncao for the Bantamweight title last night in Brazil. It was Moraes (21-5-1) v. Assuncao (27-5-0) 2. Moraes came out of the gates swinging. He hit Assuncao in the head many times with his (Moraes) right hand. Moraes knocked Assuncao to the ground and put a choke on him. He tried to do the guillotine move, and put it down hard on Assuncao. Assuncao tapped the back of Moraes signaling Assuncao’s forfeit, ending the match. Moraes controlled all of the 1:14 of the fight. Moraes won in the first round. Both men had come home to fight, but Moraes had the momentum. Moraes won and advanced to 22-5-1, while Assuncao lost and advanced to 27-6-0. The video will show the end of the match.
